What are coupons?

Coupons and Promocodes are the way of offering tracked discounts within Jammed

They can be internal use or customer facing

Types of coupon

Within Jammed there are two main types of coupons:

• Internal use - these are available to the studio staff and administrators only
• Customer facing - these are available to the customer, and a code can be used to add the discount to their booking

Internal use only coupons

To create a coupon that is available to the studio staff and administrators only, you create a coupon without 'customer facing codes'. You can then look this coupon up in the admin section, and add it to a booking or directly to the customer's account. This can be helpful for

• Giving student discounts to verified student accounts
• Giving discounts to staff members
• Giving a discount to newly registered customers
• Giving a discount to a customer that always just practices solo drum kit (we all know a few!)

An example student discount coupon is shown below

Customer facing coupon codes

These are coupons with 'customer facing codes'. These are available to the customer, and a code can be used at booking time to add the discount. This can be helpful for

• Print advertising for the studio
• Giving discounts to customers via social media
• Giving a fixed time discount to all customers (e.g. 10% off all bookings for the month of January)

An example summer discount coupon is shown below, with the public code 'SUMMER20'
